Dr. Jossie Abraham joins Arch Foot Care in Norwalk, Connecticut, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for pediatric medicine. She is Board Certified podiatrist and a member of prestigious associations including the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, American Board of Podiatric Medicine, the American Pediatric Medical Association and the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Abraham earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2006 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Her residency training included time spent that the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, MD, and at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre. She has also completed fellowships at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics for Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction and an AO Trauma Fellowship in Liestal, Switzerland.
Her choice to specialize in podiatry was influenced by her high school involvement and recurrent foot and ankle injuries in sports. This personal experience with pediatric care filed her passion for sports medicine within the field.
Dr. Abraham is particularly skilled in treated complex bunion deformities and is noted as one of the pioneering doctors in the United States to perform minimally invasive bunion surgery.
Dr. Abraham enjoys creating comprehensive treatment plans tailore to her patients’ goals, whether surgical or non-surgical. Outside the office, she is an active resident of Southington, CT, where she lives with her children, Blaise and Brielle.
She maintains a rigorous fitness schedule, engaging in swimming, cycling, various fitness classes and golf. Additionally, Dr. Abraham is a presumptuous cook, who dedicates her culinary and baking skills to create everything from scratch with specific cookware.
